I’m Tomás Baeza, a psychologist and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt. I live in Valencia and work online with athletes in Chile, Spain, Portugal, Brazil and the United States.
My path in sport started before my path in psychology. I came to psychology from the mat, not the other way around. That changes everything: when an athlete tells me what goes through their head before stepping up to compete, I’m not interpreting from a book. I’ve lived it.
What we measure, we improve. And what we sustain over time, transforms.
For years I’ve worked with amateur and semi-professional athletes across very different disciplines, and in every case what moves the needle is the same: measure, intervene, sustain.
