Sport psychology method8 weeks. 4 phases.
A measurable clinical process.

It’s not a course or a series of motivational talks. It’s a structured psychological intervention, with longitudinal tracking of variables and a closure documented in a technical report.

Why

The body trains.
So does the mind.

In most sports, performance isn’t decided on the physical or technical level alone. When athletes compete against opponents of a similar level, what separates a good day from a bad one is usually psychological functioning: the ability to regulate arousal, sustain attention, handle pressure and recover quickly from mistakes.

These skills are trainable, and they’re precisely the ones most athletes work on least.

Performance is not an isolated event. It is the accumulated result of how you train, how you recover and how you manage your mind seven days a week.

Psychological variables that limit performance

01

Dysregulated arousal

Arousal levels too high or too low at key moments, with no tools to adjust them.

02

Scattered attention

Difficulty sustaining focus under pressure, high reactivity to internal or external distractions.

03

Dysfunctional self-talk

Patterns of rigid perfectionism or self-criticism that show up after mistakes and erode the next decisions.

04

Low situational self-efficacy

Unstable confidence that depends on the last result, instead of a solid preparation process.

05

Accumulated cognitive overload

Rumination, irregular sleep and mental fatigue that compromise recovery.

06

Lack of operational goals

Goals framed in terms of outcome, without measurable process goals to sustain motivation.

The phases

From baseline to final report.

Phase 01

Assessment

Week 1

Initial evaluation, baseline of psychological variables and operational goals.

Phase 02

Identification

Weeks 2–3

Analysis of limiting patterns and intervention on the main inhibitors.

Phase 03

Consolidation

Weeks 4–6

Building mental habits and specific work on flow states.

Phase 04

Closure

Weeks 7–8

Sustainability, final technical report and planning of the next cycle.

Every week

What we do each week.

What gets measured gets worked on. The work between sessions — transfer to training and competition — is the goal of the process.

You

Weekly Protocol

Minimum 3 days a week, maximum 7. 16 variables on a 1–5 scale: performance, wellbeing, inhibitors.

Week 8

Technical report

Documented progress and a plan to sustain your gains.

What it adds

A structured psychological intervention.

  • Measured baseline with validated instruments, not subjective impressions.
  • Weekly longitudinal tracking of the key performance, wellbeing and inhibitor variables.
  • Work between sessions — transfer to training and competition is the goal.
  • Final technical report documenting your progress and leaving a roadmap to sustain it.

Next step

Let’s start with a conversation.

Before committing to a plan, let’s talk for 30 minutes. No cost, no commitment. To understand your context and goals, and see whether we’re a good fit to work together.

  1. Book a 30-minute assessment session
  2. We talk through your context and goals
  3. If it’s a fit, we choose a plan and get started
